Is the preparation of a background video/image of the choreography a requirement for registration?

Accepted Answer

No, if you don't want to prepare the video/image yourself, our creative team will select one for you. 
But remember, having an background video/image to visually complement the dance can make your choreography stand out amongst the rest 😉.

Don't forget to send the video/image in high quality. In case your video/image is not of sufficient quality or/and poor resolution, we will get back to you in due course and ask you to change it.

When do I need to send a video/image to be used as a background for my choreography?

Accepted Answer

Background visuals can be submitted up to 1 week before each semi-final.

Question 3

Why is the Hip Hop category divided into two different categories?

Accepted Answer

This is one of the new features we decided to do after hearing your feedback.

This will allow each group to compete in the style they prefer and not have to wonder if the judge will rate them better based on which style they chose.

Underground judges will be judging choreography in an underground, old school style. Mainstream judges will evaluate LA style and lyrical hip hop choreographies.

So each will compete in their own specialty.

Question 4

How many groups from each semi-final will advance to the Grand Final?

Accepted Answer

The top 3 places from each league and discipline qualify automatically, regardless of their score.
The other groups must wait until the last Czech semi-final in Litoměřice, which takes place on April 18.

For example, if you are competing in Art Dance, you will be judged by judges who are well-versed in the Modern/Contemporary style.
The same applies to all disciplines.
No more judging by judges who don't specialize in your style.

Each judge will record their own comments on your choreography live during the competition, on their own recording device.
Each group will later receive an email with their own audio feedback so they can return to it at any time.

If there are more than 5 groups in a category, the medalists will also receive a cash prize!

YOU CAN ALSO INCLUDE VIDEO PROJECTION IN YOUR CHOREOGRAPHY

You can create your own background for your choreography in the form of an image or video that will be displayed during the performance.
You can also incorporate the video into your choreography and work with it while dancing.
